Spirit Week

It is halfway through homecoming week at Broughton, and buzz and excitement for the football game Friday against Leesville is building up.

Patriotic Monday, Tourist Tuesday, and Wacky Tacky Wednesday have all successfully gained high participation in each grade. Red, white, and blue, Hawaiian shirts, and crazy socks have been common attire seen in the hallways throughout the week.

“I like spirit week because it gives you a chance to express yourself and show school spirit. It’s like a bond between classmates and teachers who all dress up,” senior Justus Basden said.

With Team Thursday and Purple and Gold Friday finishing off the week, students will have a chance to show pride in both their favorite college and professional teams and their high school team, Broughton.

“I’m excited to show my school spirit on Purple and Gold Friday,” sophomore Savannah Jones said.

The spirit days are hyping students up for the pep rally, parade, and football game on Friday.

“I’m really excited for the pep rally. Homecoming is my favorite time of the school year,” junior Neeki Tahssili said.

“I’m really pumped for my first homecoming. Seeing the whole school get hype together is awesome,” freshman Arty Wright said.
