Rihanna is known for her successful beauty and skincare company, and music career. She made her pop debut in 2005 after releasing Pon De Replay. She has had an extremely successful music career, which showcases her top hits like Umbrella (featuring Jay- Z), Needed me, Work, and Love on the Brain. After her smash hit album ANTI came out in 2016, Rihanna took a hiatus from her music career to launch her booming makeup company, Fenty Beauty. Rihanna launched Fenty Beauty on Sep. 8, 2017. The company instantly skyrocketed, leading Rihanna to become the youngest woman billionaire at age 34 with a networth of $1.4 billion. Following the success of Fenty Beauty, she launched Fenty X Savage, which significantly contributed to her billionaire status. She is officially the first billionaire from her home country of Barbados. In May of 2022, Rihanna gave birth to a baby boy with her longtime boyfriend, rapper ASAP Rocky. Rihanna’s last public music performance was almost five years ago at the 2018 Grammys where she performed Wild Thoughts with Dj Khalid.

In 2018, major drama erupted between NFL quarterback Colin Kapernick and the National Football League (NFL). Colin Kapernick was the quarterback for the Niners when he decided to sit during the national anthem. His decision sparked major controversy and eventually resulted in him no longer playing in the NFL. Kapernick made his decision to stand for Civil Rights in America. After his NFL career ended many celebrities began to take stand against the NFL, including Rihanna. Rihanna declined the superbowl’s request for her to perform at the 2019 superbowl in her stand against the NFL and in support of Kapernick. Because of this, many fans believe that her decision to perform in the superbowl is contradictory to her decision in 2019. But feelings aside, her performance is one of the most anticipated super bowl performances of all times.
