Spotlight on Broughton administrators

Due to the current virtual setting students are in, no longer do they hear the sound of Mr. Lentz’s booming voice in the cafeteria or pass Dr. Ashburn by her trashcan on the cross-hall. In an effort to familiarize Broughton students with their stellar administrators, The Hi-Times has asked several Get-To-Know-You questions to them. First up, Dr. Ashburn and Ms. Harrell!

Dr. Ashburn:

“If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?”

I love to travel, so this is difficult. If I could only choose one place it would be my mom’s hometown: San Pietro Mussolino in Vicenza, Veneto Italy.

“What is your favorite artist/song?”

[My] favorite song is “You Can Call Me Al” by Paul Simon.

“Who would you want to play you in a movie of your life and why?”

Tina Fey… she’s brilliant, witty, hilarious.

“If you could play any musical instrument what would it be?”

I already play piano, but I would love to play cello.

“What is your hometown known for?”

Being a truck stop off of Highway 95.

“What is something important to you that you never really talk about?”

I absolutely love a campfire.

“If you could pick a day to relive over and over, what day would it be and why?

My wedding day was the best day of my life! I got to marry my best friend and celebrate with all of my favorite people in the world. Other than my wedding day, I would relieve the day that Mr. Lentz lost the keys to the Broughton mini-bus at the art museum…

Ms. Harrell:

“If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?”

If I could live anywhere in the world it would be America.

“What is your favorite artist/song?”

My favorite song is Throne Room by my favorite artist CeCe Winans.

“Who would you want to play you in a movie of your life and why?”

I’d like to play myself because no one can be me better than me.

“If you could play any musical instrument what would it be?”

The instrument I would love to play is the piano.

“What is your hometown known for?”

My hometown is known for Pine trees.

“What is something important to you that you never really talk about?”

Something that is important to me that I never talk about is the joy I get when I genuinely help others.

“If you could pick a day to relive over and over, what day would it be and why?”

I am grateful for every day I live; therefore, every day is special, and I would not want to relive any “one” day.
