Taylor Swift has had an enormous amount of success recently, even though she’s been a star for the last 15 years. Her recent successes or major milestones have been her engagement with tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, Travis Kelce, the end of a global phenomenon also known as the Eras Tour, and announcing her new album, Life of a Showgirl.

   This is her 12th studio album, not including her re-releases of old music previously owned by her old music producer and label. Fans are suspecting what her new music is like and claiming their songs before the album even drops. People are excited to stay up till 12 P.M. to listen to her new hits and wake up the next morning to a new album by their favorite artist. 

   Taylor Swift went on a podcast called “New Heights” hosted by her now fiancé, Travis Kelce, and his brother, Jason Kelce. On the podcast, she announced what the album’s track titles are, when it is dropping, and all the exciting release news. The album’s tracks in order are “The Fate of Ophelia”, “Elizabeth Taylor”, “Opalite”, “Father Figure”, “Eldest Daughter”, “Ruin The Friendship”, “Actually Romantic”, “Wi$h Li$t”, “Wood”, “CANCELLED!”, “Honey”, and “The Life of a Showgirl” (feat. Sabrina Carpenter). As fans await the album, they are excited to claim or pick new songs to add to their playlist. 

   Fans may have mixed feelings about the album. “I always start with middle ground feelings about the album, until I start listening to it more and more, then it starts to grow on me,” senior Lia Mastropolo said. 

A lot of people love the first or the third track because of its beat and lyrics. People may not like the rest of her album due to her forced pop beats and forced lyricism. 

   The impact that Taylor Swift has had in the music industry is quite successful and not short of amazing. People may have mixed opinions on how her album is presented or each song, but overall, she is a very smart musician who takes the criticism of her fans very seriously and wants to keep her “Swifties” on their toes.
