Jason Reitmeyer is a Senior Officer with the Raleigh Police Department Canine Unit. Officer Reitmeyer was appointed to his position on December 9th, 2017 and serves a leadership role alongside fellow Senior Officer R. A. Sirianna. The RPD Canine Unit specializes in the search and seizure of narcotics and other illegal substances all around the city of Raleigh. Recently, Officer Reitmeyer visited Ms. Ayona Bartlett’s Criminal Justice class to discuss his motivations for joining Raleigh’s police force, and the overall dangers of the narcotics industry in both North Carolina and the rest of the United States.
