Trey Cheek Memorial Short Story Writing Contest

Trey Cheek was a celebrated Broughton graduate, athlete, and author. After his death, his family established the Trey Cheek Memorial Short Story Writing Contest in 2005.

Broughton seniors are eligible to enter, and the winner is recognized at the Awards Assembly in the spring. The winner will receive $1500.

The following are guidelines for submission:

-Broughton seniors are eligible
-Short story should be 3,000 words or less
-Student may enter one short story
-Submission should be double-spaced in 12 point font
-Student should provide a completed entry form with their story
