Tale As Old As Time

The spring musical “Beauty and the Beast” will be shown from March 15-17, 7 p.m., in the Diane Payne auditorium. Student tickets cost $5 and adult tickets are $10.

This year’s cast is as talented as ever. The cast features senior Ben Reilly as Beast, junior Lauren Moore as Beauty,  junior Sterling Jones as Gaston, senior Chloe Hulgan as Lefou, sophomore EB Britt as Mrs. Potts, Logan Sicili as Cogsworth, and many other talented performers.

Jones is especially excited for this year’s performance.

“I’m most excited to work with all of the cast because everyone has their own form of performing and when they all come together it makes the show unique and spontaneous,” Jones said.

This year’s musical is special because it is bringing all of the arts programs together. From performing arts students on stage, to visual arts students behind the scenes creating props.

Christine Conley, the vocal music director at Broughton, is ecstatic about the upcoming production.

“I’m excited about this musical because it has become a truly collaborative effort in the arts department.” said Conley.
