Laney high school awaits the red hot Capitals, on Saturday, November 14  in the quarter-finals of the men’s soccer state playoffs. The game will be played at Laney High School at 7 p.m. in Wilmington.

“It’s going to be a very fun game,” head coach Nick Wheeler said, “I don’t know much about Laney, but I know they are very good. However, if we stay focused and keep playing the way we know how to play, we are very tough to beat.”

The Caps are coming off a 1-0 victory over Hoggard High School this past Wednesday at CASL soccer park.

“Our defense played stellar in that game,” Wheeler said, “I was incredibly proud of the seniors for how they stepped up and lead the team.”

The 15-6-3 Caps are the 12 seed in the East bracket while Laney, 18-3-3, is the 8 seed.
